Apple Announces Dates for WWDC

We've spent a lot of time covering Apple rumors that point to some big Apple announcements in mid-June, so imagine our excitement when Apple set the date for WWDC (the Worldwide Developers Conference) as June 8-12. If the rumor buzz is true, we could be looking at a new iPhone in a little over two months. But that's not all we should expect to hear about.
It's almost a given that Apple will make some big announcements. WWDC is traditionally were Steve Jobs (who might not actually be in attendance this time around) breaks out the big one-more-thing moments. It's where we learned about the iPhone, the iPhone 3G and just might be where we officially see the newest iPhone to accompany the new OS that was announced.
Many analysts and industry insiders expect Snow Leopard, the newest iteration of OS X, to be released at WWDC. And if the mythical Apple netbook/tablet/magic talisman turns out to be true, WWDC 2009 would be the perfect place to announce it too.
We'll see what the week of June 8 brings, but for now you'll have to satisfy yourself with some current tech news:
