Apple Planning Keynote Event for September 7

It’s that magical time of year once again, the time for Apple to plan its September event that always gets the entire tech industry excited (Apple fans) or apprehensive (Apple competitors). Last year, despite the fact that Apple all but said the event would exclusively focus on the iPod, people still waited with bated breath to hear anything about what would eventually become the iPhone 3GS.

This time around, the music industry sources indicate that this event will again focus on music, probably with things relating to iTunes 9 and the rumored update to the iPod Touch, but people are still going to go, praying to any gods they worship (the Great All-Powerful Steve in most cases) that Steve Jobs will unveil the Apple Tablet that has been dominating rumors lately.

Will it happen?
