Beefy, Light, Thin, Green and All-In-One Round Out HP Fall Lineup
The "green!" moniker skyrocketed well into the lofty realms of marketing hyperbole long ago, but that hasn't stopped everyone and their dog -- including me in the very title of this post -- from cashing in on the term and its synonyms. HP showed its fall lineup today with two new "eco-friendly" laptops, a couple of netbooks, an all-in-one and new MediaSmart Servers.
When it comes to new computer announcements, I'm a lot like Joe Friday wanting "just the facts." It helps cut through flowery press release jargon to just list the specs, I think. Unfortunately in this case the spec list is, without pun, thin.

That's about it, as they say. It's clear the Envy series is meant to compete with the Macbook Airs of the world, and the MS200 is meant for budget-conscious consumers who don't want to hassle with buying the computer and a monitor and speakers, etc. More tech news below.
